Since the quarantine caused by COVID-19 began in last March, Central Romana has invested more than seventy million pesos up until the month of May in medical care assistance and contributions through important institutions and charities in favour of those in need nationwide in the Dominican Republic.

With the amount invested so far, the company has acquired medical equipment, ventilators, medicines, protective and bio-security gear, among other materials for the implementation of coronavirus screening. This has allowed our hospital to carry out an effective protocol to diagnose cases of infection and apply proper treatment.

As additional prevention measures, working areas have safety controls such as body temperature measurement for employees, the use of masks to cover nose and mouth, hand sanitation points, among other health controls.

Also, and in response to the current crisis, Central Romana has made important contributions through leading institutions and non-profit organizations that reach different communities.
