CAC supports Barahona Provincial Health Directorate against COVID-19

The Central Sugar Consortium (CAC) continues to contribute assistance to the Provincial Health Directorate for province of Barahona, based in Barahona city.  The CAC provided the Directorate with a vehicle to support its hard work in mitigating the impact of COVID-19 among the population. 

The vehicle granted to the Directorate is a Nissan Frontier truck, double cabin, with fuel included, which will be used to monitor the spread of the pandemic and to boost the Directorate’s response capacity.  

Similarly, the CAC also contributed to the streamlining of the general vaccination process against COVID-19, by providing a new tent in order to increase the space available during the day at the headquarters of the Provincial Health Directorate. 

The vehicle and the tent were received by personnel from the Directorate, who thanked the CAC for the support shown. 

With this action, the CAC reaffirms its commitment to improving health of the community, while continuing its collaboration with various institutions to support the population.
